Gary Savill
Head of Risk,
SAGA Services

Biography

Gary Savill is Head of Risk for SAGA, where he has transformed their risk framework.  Gary previously worked for AXA where he was Head of Operational Risk for over 10 years for the healthcare business. Gary has been instrumental in developing and embedding the Risk Framework for AXA PPP and meeting the internal model requirements for operational risk capital under Solvency II. Gary is a Chartered Management Accountant and Specialist Member of the IRM where he holds a number of risk management qualifications. Prior to this, Gary worked in Investment Management as Deputy Head of Operations, International Director for a healthcare staffing business and spent several years working for Nestle, the global food manufacturer.

Tony Chidwick

Barclays

Biography

Tony Chidwick is the Managing Director for Operational Risk, Barclays Services.

Tony leads a team of technical operational risk subject matter experts who deliver second line insight across Barclays by risk; this includes Cyber, Resilience, Technology, Supplier, Payments, Data, Transaction Operations etc. In addition, he is the Risk lead for oversight of Barclays Services the entity made up of circa 50,000 employees across functions and operations that support the trading entities, Barclays UK and Barclays International.

Tony has been with Barclays since 2012, prior to his current role he spent 5 years as Managing Director, Operational Risk for Barclaycard, with a team covering all of Barclaycard’s UK and International activities.
Tony has held a variety of senior risk roles across banking, insurance and private equity, joining Barclays from Aviva where he was Acting Group Operational Risk Director.

Tony is a Non-Executive of the Institute of Operational Risk, a member of the Institute of Risk Managers and a Chartered Accountant.
