Maurizio Garro works as a Senior Lead BA for the IBOR Transition programme at Lloyds Banking Group, where he is leading the delivery of the changes required for models, curves and products for the transition to the alternative risk-free rates for the Front and Back book. His background is in quantitative risk management, Model Risk, Market Risk, Counterparty Credit Risk, Pricing, Liquidity and Stress Testing.
He has a long-standing experience as an internal auditor, consultant and banker in model risk management and previously worked in the Development and Validation teams of top-tier financial institutions in Europe, U.S., and the U.K. for over 15 years.
Maurizio is a frequent speaker on various topics in risk management, a member of the Institute of Internal Auditor and the Director of the Global Association of Risk Professional (GARP) London Chapter.
He has been supporting as mentor start-ups involved in the development of AI/Machine learning products.
Maurizio Garro received his Master Degree in Economics from the Bocconi University of Milano and a certificate in Financial Risk Management (FRM) from GARP.

Jérôme Henry is Principal Adviser in the ECB Macroprudential policy and financial stability area. His responsibilities cover financial stability assessments, including via stress-testing, and related infrastructure requirements. He led ECB teams for the Quality Assurance of SSM stress tests and was involved in country crisis management.
Mr Henry has numerous academic publications in e.g. the Review of Economics and Statistics or with Cambridge University Press, with contributions on stress-testing such as the ECB STAMP€ e-book. He is a founding member of the CEPR Euro-Area Business Cycle Network. An ENSAE graduate, Mr Henry holds a PhD in Economics and a BA in History from Paris Sorbonne.

Pradyumna Javalekar specializes in Market Risk and Counterparty Risk with 15 years of experience spanning both the Front Office and Risk organizations at two of the largest global investment banks. He currently heads the Credit Portfolio market risk management team which covers the global XVA (CVA) desk, differential discounting desk and the banking book credit portfolio. He is also deeply involved in developing the firm’s climate stress framework. Outside of work, he is a semi-professional musician and is working on his first album.

Rohan Kataria is the Head of Execution for Traded Risk Stress Testing at HSBC since early 2019. He is responsible for planning, execution and delivery of Trading Risk Stress Testing at the Group Level, including both Market Risk and Counterparty Credit Risk. He has hands-on experience in various stress tests submissions – ICAAP, PRA EBA, Internal stress test and most recently ECB Climate stress test for market risk for transition risk scenarios. Previously, Rohan worked with Credit Suisse in London for 8 years, with the most recent role as an ICAAP Market Risk Manager. He was responsible for Pillar 2A capital assessment for Market Risk for UK legal entities. Overall, Rohan has 17 years of experience in various roles including but not limited to stress testing, front-to-back risk processes, trade lifecycle, regulatory capital & reporting and risk transformation. Rohan holds an Executive MBA degree from London Business School and is FRM (GARP) certified. He did his graduation in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) , Mumbai.

Germar is Head of Division in ECB’s Directorate General Systemic and International Banks, which is in charge of the line supervision of G-SIBs. He is overseeing several Joint Supervisory Teams as well as project work related to the implementation of new regulatory approaches. Before joining ECB in 2014 from the German Federal Agency for Financial Market Stabilisation, he was responsible for the oversight over German public banks that benefitted from state support as well as the development of resolution plans. Following university studies in physics and business administration, Germar has worked in commercial banks since 1997, mainly in risk controlling and portfolio management roles.

Emmanuelle works at Schroders where she is the co-CRO for the Wealth Management division as well as the Global Head of Credit Risk for the Group. She spent the previous 10 years working at JP Morgan in London and Sydney where she was an Executive Director managing Credit Risk for the Investment Bank focusing in the Asset Management space (including Hedge Funds, Private Equity, Real Estate and Pension funds). She holds a Masters in International Public Law from Université Paul Cezanne in France and Tübingen Universität in Germany. Outside of her day job, Emmanuelle is very actively involved in Corporate Responsibility both with philanthropic initiatives and Diversity & Inclusion efforts. She chaired SchOUT, the Schroders LGBT+ employee group, through the pandemic and helped ensure that the group kept its momentum with an enhanced focus on visibility for all members of the LGBT+ community, intersectionality and education. Emmanuelle is a Trustee for the Cripplegate foundation and a Non-Executive Director for Moneyline, a not-for-profit lender for the underbanked.

Katherine leads the Global Financial and Model Risk Regulatory Policy and Engagement team for Risk at HSBC. The team acts as the external regulatory interface for the Wholesale Credit, Traded Risk, Treasury Risk Management and Global Risk Analytics functions and includes the provision of guidance on regulatory risk matters, regulatory policy interpretation and industry engagement. She has been with HSBC for eight and a half years. Prior to this she was based in Brussels as a Public Affairs consultant specialising in financial services regulation. Katherine has an MA in International Economic Relations from American University and a Maîtrise in European and International Law from the University of La Reunion. She is a fluent French speaker.
