CeFPro, in partnership with Finastra, undertook an extensive research project with the objective of reviewing working capital finance in a post-Covid world, providing the basis for this webinar discussion.

We consulted over 110 industry professionals via an online survey, and conducted one-on-one interviews from industry leaders and subject matter experts to gain a comprehensive understanding of the post-Covid working capital finance industry.

About Brian
Brian has worked in Trade and Working Capital Finance solutions since 1992. He was formerly Executive Vice President at China Systems (Eximbills) based in Asia-Pac where he was responsible for Product Management eventually moving to MD in 2000. Brian then moved to Europe to become the Vertical Sales Lead for Financial Services at IBM. In 2009 Brian joined Finastra and has been instrumental in the development of the Model Bank concept for transaction-based banking and the application of the global processing solution for large international banks. Brian has been the lead Solution Architect for global projects for banks such as Commerzbank, Barclays and ING.
About Sean
Sean Edwards is an English lawyer, formerly with Clifford Chance, and is now Head of Legal and Special Adviser to the Trade Finance Department at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation Europe Limited. He is Chairman of ITFA and is one of the principal draftsmen of the Uniform Rules for Forfaiting (URF) (ICC Publication no. 800), a joint initiative of the ITFA and ICC and published by the ICC. He was also a member of the drafting group for the Standard Definitions for Techniques of Supply Chain Finance published by ICC, ITFA and a number of other international trade finance organisations. He sits on the Executive Committee of the ICC Banking Commission and leads a work-stream on the ICC Working Group on Digitalisation in Trade Finance. Sean has written articles on trade finance, particularly on different forms of receivables finance, for all the major trade finance magazines and is on the editorial board of Global Trade Review (GTR). He is a frequent presenter at trade finance conferences dealing with a range of subjects.
