THE COMPETITION
These terms and conditions relate to the “#RiskInsightsMagazine” Social Media Competition.
2. The Event Organiser is Center for Financial Professionals, Suite 68 The Maltings, Roydon Road, Herts, SG12 8HG (the “Event Organiser”).
HOW TO ENTER
To enter the competition you must follow the instructions given in Issue Ten of our Risk Insights Magazine.
4. The competition will run from 9am (GMT) on 03 January 2019 to 5pm (GMT) on 22 March 2019. All competition entries must be received by no later than the Closing Date.
5. All competition entries received after the Closing Date will be automatically disqualified.
6. No purchase is necessary.
YOUR ELIGIBLITY
Entrants must be aged 18 and over when the competition opens except: employees of the Event Organiser or its holding or subsidiary companies; employees of agents or suppliers of the Event Organiser or its holding or subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with the competition or its administration; of members of the immediate families or households of (a) and (b) above. Failure to comply with any part of paragraph 7 will disqualify the respective entry from the competition. By entering this competition, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions and confirming that you are eligible to enter and eligible to claim any prize you may win. The Event Organiser may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition. There is a limit of one entry per person. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not permitted. The Event Organiser reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the competition. Obscene or inappropriate entries will not be accepted and the Event Organiser reserves the right to reject any entries for any reason whatsoever at its sole discretion.
THE PRIZE
The prize is one pass to a chosen upcoming event at the discretion of the director. Tickets are subject to the Event Organiser’s own ticket terms and conditions, which can be viewed here: http://localhost/cefproold/terms-and-conditions/. The prize does not include, travel insurance, the costs of transport to and from the event, tax or personal expenses. Any costs which are incidental to fulfilment of the prize are the responsibility of the winner. The prize is non-negotiable, non-transferable and non-refundable. If the prize becomes unavailable for any reason, the Event Organiser reserves the right to substitute that prize for a prize of equal or higher value.
SELECTION AND ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE WINNER
The winner will be selected at random (such selection to be conducted electronically) from all correct entries received in accordance with these terms and conditions. The draw will take place on or after 22 March 2019. The winner will be announced and notified by a LinkedIn mention, Tweet on Twitter or Facebook post on or after 22 March 2019 and provided with details of how to claim their prize. If the winner does not respond to the Event Organiser within 7 days of being notified of their win, the winner’s prize will be forfeited and the Event Organiser shall be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above (such winner will also have to respond to notification of their win within 7 days or else they will also forfeit their prize). If a winner rejects their prize or the entry is invalid or in breach of these terms and conditions, the winner’s prize will be forfeited and the Event Organiser reserves the right to select another winner in accordance with the process described above. Please allow 7 days for delivery of the prize. The Event Organiser does not accept any responsibility if you are unable to take up the prize.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
The Event Organiser shall not be liable for any failure of receipt of entries including any entries which are lost, delayed, illegible, corrupted, damaged, incomplete or otherwise invalid.To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Event Organiser’s liability under or in connection with this competition or these terms and conditions shall be limited to the value of the prize in question.To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Event Organiser shall not be liable under or in connection with these terms and conditions, the competition or any prize for any indirect, special or consequential cost, expense, loss or damage suffered by you even if such cost, expense, loss or damage was reasonably foreseeable or might reasonably have been contemplated by you and the Event Organiser and whether arising from breach of contract, tort, negligence, breach of statutory duty or otherwise.Nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude the liability of the Event Organiser under applicable law for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation or for death or personal injury resulting from its negligence
RIGHTS IN ENTRIES
All competition entries and any accompanying material submitted to the Event Organiser will become the property of the Event Organiser on receipt and will not be returned. You agree that the Event Organiser may, but is not required to, make your entry available on any media, whether now known or invented in the future, and in connection with any publicity of the competition, including but not limited to any website or social media account controlled by the Event Organiser including but not limited to its LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter accounts. You agree to grant the Event Organiser a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable licence, for the full period of any intellectual property rights in the competition entry, to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format and sub-licence the competition entry for such purposes. You hereby irrevocably waive, for the benefit of the Event Organiser, all moral rights in the entry to which you are entitled.
GENERAL
If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the Event Organiser may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition. The Event Organiser reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the competition where it becomes necessary to do so. The Event Organiser’s decision is final. No correspondence or discussion in respect of this decision will be entered into. This competition is not in any way associated with LinkedIn and LinkedIn has no liability in relation to this competition.
GOVERNING LAW
These terms and conditions and the competition are governed by English law and entrants are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
