Conference Production Positions

Conference Producer
Successful conference producers are at the heart of any event – in-depth
research, targeting appropriate market segments, effective programme writing, speaker procurement, and onsite management are just some of the areas of activity. You will be joining an established team within the fast-growing business sector producing industry leading international conferences in Europe and North America.

 

The role and responsibilities:

  • CFP have roles available for entry-level graduates, with internal and external training provided, as well as more experienced conference producers that wish to take their initial experience to the next level
  • Commercially viable conferences are based on in-depth market research primarily through telephone calls, and initial secondary research
  • Identify new, interesting and viable topics and business ideas
  • Based on research, to effectively write programmes of commercial use to the industry to be promoted
  • To seek and speak to senior industry professionals in their field to research topics and/or invite to present
  • Ensure that sales and marketing campaigns are maximised and the full potential of the research-driven event is fulfilled
  • Managing your own portfolio of projects you will be responsible for the overall success of the event you produce
  • Communicate effectively with the sales, marketing and logistical teams

 

The person:

  • A desire to succeed, to find a role that is personally and professionally rewarding and to advance your skills and experience
  • Strong academic background, with at least a 2:2
  • Commercial acumen, with an understanding of the sales and marketing process an advantage
  • Great research, communication and interpersonal skills
  • An entrepreneurial spirit, a deep desire to succeed and achieve goals
  • Energy, enthusiasm and desire in abundance, you will be self-motivated, pro-active and a problem solver to help achieve goals and targets

Sponsorship Sales Executive

A very attractive opportunity has arisen as a Sponsorship Sales Executive to join our friendly and sociable team to sell across and secure sponsorship revenue. Hosting an impressive portfolio of events, which are international and features established and launch initiatives, and a growing publishing arm, the Sponsorship Sales Executive role is an exciting opportunity for a professional to continue their career.

The Role:

CFP is looking for a Sponsorship Sales Executive to sell multi-tiered sponsorship packages for their events and publishing. You will be required to seek out appropriate partners, develop relationships with relevant decision makers and sell over the counter (OTC) and bespoke packages to fit the objectives of clients. In addition, you will also be able to sell various delegate and attendee packages to our large, relevant and targeted audiences.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Past experience in B2B sales and research, question led sales process
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills both telephone based and face-to-face
  • Friendly and approachable manner
  • Selling OTC and bespoke sponsorship packages to UK and international clients for established large scale and launch events
  • Grow revenue across a base of existing clients but also have the ability to source new business
  • Maintaining regular contact with clients and formulate innovative, creative and profitable solutions for their business
  • Maintaining close liaison with the marketing, production and operations teams in order to ensure the delivery of successful customer focused events and publishing
  • Conducting monthly revenue forecasts, sales reports and manage a sales pipeline
  • Identifying potential customers from media and events and from other business sources

The Person:

The ideal Sponsorship Sales Executive will have worked within delegate and/or sponsorship sales previously and have a proven track record. You will have previously worked for a conference company or in publishing with a strong emphasis on event content, be passionate about the future of media and events, and be able to easily demonstrate this.

Candidates with strong sales experience, and a desire to learn and develop within the events industry, will also be considered.

You will be a highly ambitious individual who is looking for a career move with the ability to communicate with a wide range of clients at all levels. You will be financial motivated, proactive and have a desire to succeed.

Marketing Positions

Junior/Mid-level Marketing Executive

This exciting opportunity has arisen to become part of a growing and fresh thinking B2B Marketing Communications team. You will work closely with the Marketing Manager to execute a number of marketing campaigns for a variety of peer-to-peer conferences. The ideal candidate will be forward thinking and contribute fresh ideas to ensure all marketing channels are utilised to their full potential.

Ultimately you will aim to take full control of marketing campaigns for selected conferences throughout the year. You will also play a key role in producing and launching CFP’s new publishing arm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively communicate internally and externally with CFP’s key stakeholders including colleagues, conference speakers, conference sponsors and media partners, and suppliers.
  • Building and executing marketing campaigns to acquire delegates through a combination of integrated, digital and traditional techniques
  • Planning and executing email campaigns
  • Acquire and build relationships with relevant media partners
  • Assist in CFP’s content marketing strategy, working with industry thought leaders to deliver articles, whitepapers and interviews.
  • Assist in website development and maintenance. Ensuring each event website is optimised for SEO and its target audience, and kept up to date.
  • Creation of marketing materials and literature. Ensuring existing marketing materials such as the event brochures are kept up to date
  • Work with CFP’s sponsors to deliver customer service and targeted pre-event marketing campaigns
  • Analysing and measuring marketing effectiveness
  • Using CFP’s social media channels to support the event and content marketing campaigns

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must have Marketing knowledge and experience
  • Degree or CIM qualifications would be an advantage
  • Experience in the events and/or B2B industry would be an advantage
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise a busy workload
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Analytical and creative
  • An eager learner who will grasp both internal and external systems quickly
  • Experience in website CMS and Email campaign software would be an advantage
